Community Fit exercise programs are designed to help over 50s and older adults meet the recommended physical activity levels for healthy aging and wellbeing. Our programs are tailored to suit your physical ability, health needs and personal goals.

Our personalised exercise programs are also suitable for people with well managed chronic health conditions. Doctors clearance is not required to begin a general exercise program, but may be sought on a case-by-case basis depending on health history and exercise goals.

Types of Exercise Programs

  1. Strength & Balance

    A personalised routine designed to improve muscle strength, balance, mobility and self confidence. Exercises are personalised based on physical ability and personal goals.

  2. Fitness & Endurance

    A personalised fitness routine designed to improve fitness and endurance, cardiovascular health and metabolic health. Sessions are done on an exercise bike or rowing machine. Heart rate and exercise intensity are monitored closely for safety.

  3. At Home Walking Program

    A take-home programs designed to help you increase your physical activity and improve your wellbeing.

Free Initial Consultation

Community Fit offer free initial consultations for new people who want to begin a personalised exercise program or who want to find out more information. Our free consultations include:

  • A comprehensive pre-exercise health screening including health history, injury history and a basic physical assessment (sitting and standing from a chair, shoulder mobility test, balance test)

  • Chatting about your wants, needs and goals with exercise

  • A personalised exercise program based on your initial consultation, with regular updating and adjustments as needed

  • Supervised sessions with a fitness trainer to learn how to perform your exercises safely and effectively

  • Ongoing education and support around healthy ageing and recommended physical activity and nutrition guidelines

  • Flexible booking times and rescheduling options with no lock-in appointments to suit your convenience

Pricing

  • $20 per session

    • Sessions generally last for 30-40 minutes depending on the nature of the exercise program
